Uras Lip Kit
Designed by Japanese drifting legend Nomuken to debut alongside his D1GP GT86 in 2012, this kit shares the clean aesthetic of the VERTEX lip kit, but with a subtle nod to early 2000s styling. Personally, it’s one of my favorite lip kits for the GT86 and the perfect one to start this list off.
Modellista V1 & V2
Coming as a dealer option in Japan, the Modellista kit adds aggression with a touch of elegance to the ZN6. You might mistake this kit as something made in the Toyota factory because of how nicely it compliments the natural body lines of the ZN6. Sharp, sleek and sexy.
Futago Line
Designed by an enthusiast in the USA, the Futago kit was the first kit to bring that classic bell-bottom drift styling to the ZN6. This kit is typically quite hard to get your hands on due to popularity and low production numbers but if you get a chance to purchase one, you will be supporting a small AMERICAN business YEE HAW!! (Futago means “twins” in Japanese)
VERTEX
Exclusively designed for the pre-facelift (Zenki) GT86, the Vertex kit features sharp lines that beautifully complement the ZN6's sleek profile. You can opt for a minimalist look with just the VERTEX lip kit, or elevate the aesthetic by adding TRD fender garnishes and a wing.
C-WEST
Coming with both a Zenki and Kouki version, one of my favorite things about this C-WEST kit is how versatile it is. Although it looks great by itself, if you do some planning, you can easily take pieces from it to mix and match with other kits such as TRD.
Uras Haridashi
Monkey Man Nomuken is back with a new drift-style body kit for the GT86. Similar to the Futago Line kit mentioned earlier, this new offering from URAS introduces bell-bottom drift styling to the modern ZN6, being the first of its kind in Japan. If you want to give your car a commanding presence, this is the way to go—but be sure to lower it, or you will end up looking goofy as hell.
TRD
TRD released several variations of the "TRD Kit" for the ZN6, each enhancing the car's aggressive yet factory-fresh appearance. These include the 2012-2015 version (Zenki), the 2016-2020 version (Kouki), and a special edition designed for the USA-exclusive Yuzu Yellow Release Series 1.0 in 2014.
Artisan Spirits
No one does it quite like Artisan... unique, classy, and undeniably elegant. This kit is absolutely stunning and deserves far more recognition. Its underrated status might be due to the hefty price tag, but if you can pull together the bread, it’s a guaranteed way to make your car stand out from the crowd. Absolutely love it!
Varis Arising 1 & 2
Varis killed it with this kit, offering both widebody and stockbody versions with aggressive, GT-style time attack aesthetics. While I’m usually not super interested in widebody builds, if I were to go that route, the Varis kit would be my top choice.
BLITZ
Wow... this front bumper is the epitome of perfection and the main reason this kit earned a spot on the list. As for the rest of the kit? Let’s just say I’d probably mix and match pieces from other kits on this list to pair with that bumper. It’s a standout on its own, and elevating it with the right combination could make for the ultimate setup.
14R/14R60
The 14R and 14R60 were ultra-limited edition models created exclusively for the Japanese market, drawing design inspiration from the one-of-a-kind TRD Griffon Concept. Like the standard TRD kit, the 14R/14R60 kits add a more aggressive look to the ZN6. The wider front fenders with vents and the rear wing are standout features, while the stretched front bumper and center-exit exhaust on the 14R60 are changes I could personally do without.
