Livery Etiquette
spread the word.
1) Learn the difference between inspiration and straight-up copying.
2) Make sure you can actually drive before even thinking about a livery. You should want to earn it.
3) Stop trying to make "homage" copies of legendary cars. 99% of the time it just looks like a worse version of the original. Be your own man.
4) Understand the shape of the car before touching Illustrator. Good liveries work with the body lines of the car.
5) Dont force aggression onto a car that doesnt suit it. Not every build needs to look like a D1GP Car.
6) Respect racing culture enough to actually study it before throwing graphics onto a car.
7) Less is usually harder to do, but looks better.
8) Dont drive around with random Japanese nonsense written on the side of your Car. It is so easy to get in contact with Japanese speakers online.
9) Throwing a livery on your stock ride height, no aero having, beat up, mismatched panel car is not cool.
10) Respect all builds is not how we progress. Call out wack shit but be polite to other humans.
